Our driver guide will meet you in Entebbe at 7:00 AM. From there, you will drive west to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Along the way, you'll make a stop at the Mpambire Drum Makers Center. You will also visit the Equator for some photo opportunities before continuing on to Mbarara town, known for its beautiful landscapes. As you travel, you'll enjoy the sight of rolling hills with terraced farms, making for a wonderful journey. Upon reaching the park, check in at your chosen lodge and take the evening to relax and prepare for the next day’s activities. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Rushaga Gorilla Camp. Start your day with breakfast at 6:30 am before transferring to the park headquarters, where you will have a packed lunch and receive a briefing from professional park rangers. By 8:00 am, the rangers will accompany you as you enter the misty forest for a trek to see the mountain gorillas. If you’re not in great physical condition, you may want to use a walking stick. Additionally, consider hiring porters to carry your luggage for a small fee. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours. Once you reach the gorillas, you will have one hour to observe and interact with them. After the trek, return to the lodge to relax. In the evening, you can take a walk through various communities, such as the Batwa community, where you will have the opportunity to interact with locals and learn about their culture before retiring to the lodge for the night. Enjoy your breakfast, and afterward, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On your way, you will pass through the Ishasha Sector, which is famous for its tree-climbing lions. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and many other species. Upon arrival, have lunch at the lodge, and then embark on a late afternoon game drive. During this drive, you will have the opportunity to see these animals, along with various bird species. In the evening, enjoy dinner and spend the night at the lodge. Today, you will start your day early, with breakfast scheduled for 6:00 AM. After breakfast, you will immediately embark on the game drive. It's important to be up early, as this is the best time to observe morning risers such as lions, solitary buffalo, kobs, and elephants. This captivating time offers a unique opportunity to see these animals up close. Later, you will return to the lodge for lunch before preparing for the afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This channel is home to a variety of species, including birds like malachite kingfishers and pink-backed pelicans, as well as animals such as crocodiles, elephants, and hippos. Cruising on the Kazinga Channel is one of the most remarkable activities in the park. After the cruise, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. You'll arrive in the evening for dinner, after which you can relax and spend the night. What an amazing day this is! Start with an early breakfast and then depart from the lodge to the park headquarters, ensuring you have enough bottled drinking water. At the headquarters, you will receive a briefing about chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing, you will begin trekking through the forest around 8:00 AM, guided by an armed park ranger. There’s nothing quite like spending time with chimpanzees in their natural habitat. During your trek, you’ll also have the opportunity to see other primates, such as golden monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, L'Hoest's monkeys, and bush babies, along with a variety of birds. After your adventure in the park, you will leave and drive to Kampala via Mubende, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenic views of the area. You'll stop for lunch in Mubende before continuing your journey to Kampala. Your driver-guide will either drop you off at your accommodation in Kampala or take you to the Entebbe Airport if you have a flight to catch.
